THE 8TH ANNUAL PREGNANCY & BABY FAIR AND GREAT CLOTH DIAPER CHANGE

Saturday, April 23rd

from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm

(The Great Cloth Diaper Change will occur at 11 am, with registration no later than 10:45 am)

Hello, Birth Circle Families!

We have an exciting and festive month ahead of us here at The Birth Circle!  Our Pregnancy & Baby Fair is happening on Saturday the 23rd and will include the Great Cloth Diaper Change this year!  Since we like to focus our energy on this fun, family event there will be NO MONTHLY MEETING THIS MONTH.  We will gather once again for a meeting in May.
 
We are gearing up for our 4th Prepared Mommy Camp and already have several young women signed up to join us this June for the week-long program which focuses on education and support of these young moms-to-be as they journey toward parenthood.  If you would like to contribute your time, donate baby-related items, contribute to our book drive, or help in another way please let us know at athensbirthcircle@gmail.com or call 740-652-6262.  The book drive will provide books for the children of the young moms who participate in Prepared Mommy Camp this June. If you want to make a donation to the book drive, please click on the link below.  We’re excited for another opportunity to extend our community of support to these young women, and we’re thankful for your help in doing so!

In the meantime please join us tomorrow for our Play Group, and we will be holding our Loss Support Group in the evening. See below for details on all of our April events and we look forward to seeing you all soon!

ATHENS CASA/GAL PROGRAM

Thank you to Jenny Stotts, Tara Huffman and Emily Fischer for speaking about the Athens CASA/GAL program at our March meeting. If you were unable to attend and would like more information, there will be another opportunity on April 12th from 12-1 pm at the Athens Library’s large meeting room. APRIL LOSS SUPPORT GROUP MEETING

Thursday, April 7th

from 6:30 to 8:00 pm

at the Central Avenue Church–73 Central Ave. in Athens

If you are in need of support because of a pregnancy loss or the loss of your child, you are welcome to join us every first Thursday of the month for this support group.  These meetings are free and facilitated by a professional social worker. All family members, such as grandparents, siblings, aunts and uncles, as well as friends are welcome.  Childcare is provided.  Please let us know if you will be bringing any children so that we can provide enough supervision.
