BIRTH CONTROL BENEFITS & METHODS

If you are wondering what your current choices for birth control are, or if you’ve felt overwhelmed by the options available, this is the meeting for you! Sarah Saxbe, Program Coordinator for Nationwide Childrens’ Teen and Pregnant Program and BC for Teens Program, joins us this month to talk about the different methods available to you, including STD prevention, as well as how to access these birth control options and other related health-care resources in our community. Come with your questions and experiences to share!

BIRTH CIRCLE & LA LECHE LEAGUE YARD SALE
We are looking for donations for our annual yard sale which will take place on Friday, August 26th from noon-5pm and Saturday, August 27th from 8am-2pm at the East State Street Shelter (near the Community Pool). If you have maternity, baby and child-related items to donate which are gently used and in good working order, please bring them to 102 Sunnyside in Athens. TEEN & YOUNG MOM SUPPORT GROUP

This group for young moms began as a way to continue support after Prepared Mommy Camp. The group meets once a month. This month’s meeting is a potluck. Bring food to share! Young moms are welcome to attend with their children.

JULY LOSS SUPPORT GROUP PICNIC

If you are in need of support because of a pregnancy loss or the loss of your child, you are welcome to join us every first Thursday of the month for this support group. These meetings are free and facilitated by a professional social worker. All family members, such as grandparents, siblings, aunts and uncles, as well as friends are welcome. Childcare is provided.
