Good Morning Everyone!
Here we are…November, a month full of excitement and gratitude. In keeping with those themes, The Birth Circle is offering a month of really great events, including our monthly meeting about postpartum recovery. See below for more details about this meeting, as well as information about our Play Group and Loss Support Group. Also below you will find information on volunteering for JIVE! This fabulous family-friendly event is on the horizon and we’re excited for another fun evening of celebration!
The season of giving is upon us and we would love to have your help. Every few years we put out an Impact Survey which helps us gauge your wants and needs, and helps us stay relevant in our community. NOVEMBER PLAY GROUP

At the Athens Library’s Kids’ Section
Everyone needs a little play time and socialization, so why not join us this Thursday at the Library for just that? All ages welcome for some fun, conversation and camaraderie. We’ll see you there!

NOVEMBER LOSS SUPPORT GROUP

If you are in need of support because of a pregnancy loss or the loss of your child, you are welcome to join us every first Thursday of the month for this support group. These meetings are free and facilitated by a professional social worker. All family members, such as grandparents, siblings, aunts and uncles, as well as friends are welcome. Childcare is provided.

OUR POSTPARTUM BODIES: PELVIC FLOOR & ABDOMINAL RECOVERY AFTER CHILDBIRTH

At the Athens Public Library
Our bodies work hard during pregnancy and childbirth, and sometimes there’s more to recover from than we were expecting. Join physical therapists Angel Thomas, PT, OCS and Allison Barnett, PT of OhioHealth to learn more about common postpartum diagnoses such as pelvic pain, incontinence and diastasis recti. They will also share helpful tips to manage these including some exercises to help you recover. Bring your questions and experiences to share!
