Hello Everyone,
As we welcome autumn, we invite you to join us this week for our September monthly meeting. It is an important topic that affects many families in our community. You don’t have to have experienced a loss of your own in order to get something out of the evening. Come, share, learn and leave with some resources and tools that can help you support another person through a difficult time. We hope to see you there!
Warmly,
Claudia Bashaw

LOCAL LOSS SUPPORT RESOURCES
Wednesday, September 28th
7:00 to 8:30pm
At the Athens Library
Stillbirth, miscarriage and infant death are often uncomfortable topics in our culture. This leaves families that experience loss feeling isolated in their grief. From bereavement doulas and counselors, to handmade blankets as well as a network of photographers, come find what resources we have in our community that can offer support and healing to these families. The intent of this meeting is to empower us all to walk beside our friends and family who experience loss. You will leave with a list of resources, ideas and confidence in your ability to help people who are grieving.
**PARENTS ATTENDING WITH SMALL CHILDREN (NOT INFANTS) PLEASE NOTE**
Due to the sensitivity of the topic, we request that parents please help their young children maintain a quiet, respectful atmosphere for this meeting. Thank you for your understanding.
