We at the Birth Circle are excited to start the year off right by offering an enlightening meeting at the end of the month. Sometimes the toddler years can seem like a roller coaster of joy and challenges, but our presenter has some tips to help make that time fruitful for the whole family. JANUARY LOSS SUPPORT GROUP MEETING

If you are in need of support because of a pregnancy loss or the loss of your child, you are welcome to join us every first Thursday of the month for the support group. These meetings are free and facilitated by a professional counselor. All family members, such as grandparents, siblings, aunts and uncles, as well as friends are welcome. Childcare is provided. Please let us know if you will be bringing any children so that we can provide enough supervision.

GROWING TOGETHER THROUGH THE TODDLER YEARS
Wednesday, January 27th
7:00 to 8:30pm at the Athens Public Library
Join us for an interactive dialogue about positive, proactive parenting with Dr. Sharon Carver, a developmental psychologist who directs the Carnegie Mellon University Children’s School (http://www.psy.cmu.edu/cs/). She will share practical strategies for supporting young children’s development so that the whole family can thrive. There will also be time for questions about whatever challenges of parenting young children you may be facing.
All Birth Circle monthly meetings are co-sponsored by the Athens County Public Libraries.

TEEN & YOUNG MOM SUPPORT GROUP
This group for young moms began as a way to continue support and stay in touch after Prepared Mommy Camp. The group meets once a month. Please contact coordinator Amber Dellinger, athensbirthcircle@gmail.com, for more information.

January Meeting: Let’s get together this month to share ideas of different things we want to do and topics we want to talk about at our meetings. We can also have a clothing exchange. Everyone bring clothes that are too small for their kids, and we can go through them and hopefully everyone can walk away with some new clothes for their kids!
