The Prepared Parents Workshop is offered by The Birth Circle, a small community group helping moms-to-be and families in the Athens area!
The 2021 Prepared Parents Workshop consists of five consecutive sessions spread over May-September on the 4th Saturday of each month. We are excited about our new location at Serenity Grove in Athens, OH! Help with transportation can be arranged if needed.
*We will be following CDC guidelines to decrease risk of the spread of Covid-19 for small group meetings, with the understanding that these guidelines are likely to change during the course of the program.

The Birth Circle 2021 Prepared Parents Workshop will be filled with information to help you be motivated, inspired and confident with your new role.
- This year’s Prepared Parents Workshop session will include 5 workshops. The workshops will run May through September, with each being held on the 4th Saturday of the month from 1:00 to 4:00pm. We are excited about our new location at Serenity Grove, 6263 State Route 56, Athens Ohio 45701.
- Attending parents will earn practical items such as diapers and other mom/baby-related items. These are given out at the end of each workshop day.
- We will help to organize transportation if needed.
- If you cannot complete all 5 workshops in order, you are still welcome to whatever dates you are able to come! There is a section on our registration form for you to indicate which days you will be able to attend.
- If you are pregnant or already have had your baby, you are welcome to attend. It is our hope that women whose babies have already been born will help others by sharing their experience during workshops that are geared towards pregnancy and labor.
- Women up to age 23 who are pregnant will be given priority, but any mother who is interested is welcome to attend if space is available.
- Prepared Mommy Camp is FREE thanks to community support and a grant from the Athens Foundation.

Each year, our local community has generously donated much-needed items to this free program. We are expecting up to 10 young moms each session and would be grateful for any number of items you can offer.
- We are in need of products related to pregnancy and/or newborns (clothes, furniture, slings, diapers, nursing bras, etc.).
- We are in need of snacks and breakfast items to have available during the workshop.
- If you would like to volunteer your time, we are looking for help transporting participants to and from the workshop.
- If you offer pregnancy or baby-related goods or services (photography, art, clothing, etc), we are looking for donations to be used as prizes for the women at the end of each session.
The Birth Circle is a 501-c-3 non-profit organization. We would be happy to send you an in-kind donation form for your taxes.
